Suffolk's own plan cites ~45k private wells (that is the county plan, not a census count). About 74% of the county is unsewered. In the wells they did sample, 47% showed some PFAS.

A strip kit does not close a PFAS or 1,4-dioxane gap. A mail-to-lab kit does.

Suffolk still sells a $100 private-well test (631-852-5810); it is not the PFAS/dioxane gap kit, and this site is not that office.
