Suffolk · Patchogue

Patchogue sits in the volume town. Mixed wells still exist.

Brookhaven took the people after 2020. Patchogue is a South Shore village in that town. Some kitchens pay a district. Some still drink a well. The bill and the cap settle this lot.

Village inside the volume town

Patchogue is a village in the Town of Brookhaven. Brookhaven took +10,779 of Suffolk's +20,170 people after 2020. That is volume: more kitchens, more cars, more lots that never got a main. Medford and Bellport-type blocks still mix public water with a cap in the grass. District lines arrived years after some of the houses. Patchogue sits in that mixed geography. The village name on the envelope does not settle the pipe. Walk the grass. Read the mail.

Suffolk's water plan still cites about 45,000 private wells. From 2016 through 2022, about 47 percent of sampled Suffolk wells showed some PFAS; 202 were over drinking-water standards. That is the wells they sampled, not a Patchogue-only census. New York limits PFOA and PFOS at 10 parts per trillion. You will not taste that. A clear glass does not close the gap. If you drink the well, measure this kitchen. The wider map is Suffolk wells. Medford keeps its own mixed-street note at Medford. Brookhaven Town as volume is Brookhaven. This URL is the village: downtown on the river, ranches behind it, mixed pipes.

If the kitchen already pays a district, skip the kit. Use the tap and dioxane guides. Reverse osmosis is the class for 1,4-dioxane. A pitcher is a refund. Do not paste Calverton or Bethpage onto a Patchogue block. Oakdale's sewer vote in December 2025 and Great River's 2019 no are Islip Town votes. They do not sewer Patchogue. Suffolk is still about 74 percent unsewered. About 360,000 on-site systems sit on the same sand. Unsewered is not the same as a private well. Plenty of lots pay a district and still send bathroom water into a tank.

Volume is also cars and the ranch

Suffolk recorded 118 traffic deaths in 2024 against Nassau's 67. That is roads, not the aquifer. The car kit lives on the cars page. House prices moved with Suffolk's index, about ×4.2 since 1990. If the ranch is staying and someone uses the high tub, grab bars are aging. People born 1946–64 are 61–79. Brookhaven volume is not the same as Hempstead/Levittown care-first order, but the bathroom still ages. Two Saturdays. Do not hang a well kit on the tub. Do not hang grab bars on a well you have not sampled.

Common questions

Is every Patchogue house on a well?

No. Mixed streets. No water bill and a cap in the grass means treat it as a well.

Is this the same as Medford?

No. Medford keeps the mixed-street note that named that hamlet. Patchogue is the village in the same volume town.

Did Brookhaven's growth sewer this village?

No. Suffolk is still about 74 percent unsewered. A people count is not a sewer main.

Should I copy Islip's Oakdale vote here?

No. That vote is Town of Islip. Patchogue is Brookhaven.

County $100 test?

631-852-5810. Different panel. This site is not that office.
